CMC Imaging at Heath Lodge Clinic

CMC Imaging who have been operating a mobile MRI scanning service for several years, have moved into their own premises. Heath Lodge Clinic, formerly a private house, set in four acres of grounds, was aquired by CMC three years ago and has since been undergoing modernisation and conversion into a private clinic. It lies on the borders of Solihull, south of Birmingham, 300 yards from junction 5 of the M42 motorway, with excellent transport links including bus and rail. The clinic benifits from a large private car park.

The beautiful, 1930's house has been sympathetically converted into private consulting rooms; retaining its original character. The facilities include two open MRI scanners, a digital X-ray and ultrasound suite and physiotherapy unit. Our private consulting rooms offer a range of clinical services.

We are a small independent company, established in 1998. Our aim is to offer a personalised, high quality MR scanning service at low cost. All our scanning is supervised by a Consultant Radiologist with more than 15 years  MR experience in the NHS and Private sector. We minimise our expenses wherever possible in order to reduce costs, without compromising quality.

The imaging facilities presently include two open MRI scanners in a purpose built extension which is the only facility of its kind in Europe.
The first MR scanner is a high field, (1.5T) with a particularly wide bore which means that it is suitable for large patients, and can provide particularly detailed images, for example neuro-imaging.

The other machine is a mid field C shaped magnet, open on three sides, but with very high image quality and capable of the full range of examinations, including dynamic orthopaedic studies.

Both of these machines are particularly suitable for claustrophobic patients

Having the two machines offer us great flexibility and the capacity to offer same day appointments to patients. They will leave with a copy of their images and the report will be issued to their clinician within 4 days, by system specialist radiologists.

We are pleased to accept referrals not only from hospital consultants and general practitioners, but also from chiropractors, osteopaths and physiotherapists. More...
